Hi everyone! It’s been a while since our last post so we thought we’d share an update.
It’s been a rollercoaster start to our young business - six months today since we went live! - with Casting Offices, Agents and Artists signing up in great numbers. We’ve had some truly heartwarming feedback from all parties...one even went so far as to call Altai a gift to the industry! Some of our unrepresented artists have reportedly been approached by Agents who’ve found them through the Altai Directory, which is lovely news. And now the briefs are starting to pick up speed we’re excited to keep bringing our customers a steady stream of improvements.
Since launch, we’ve already deployed a number of enhancements to the platform, and you can see the main updates on our changelog page. Casting Offices and Agents have some very complex workflows and challenging time pressures, so a fair amount of our focus has been on helping them process their first briefs while we tighten up the user experience. We’ve implemented countless smaller improvements over the past few weeks - too many to list here - and are diligently working through our backlog as quickly as we can.
In parallel, we’ve also been laying the groundwork for one of our biggest feature rollouts yet, focusing on ‘Live and Online’ sessions which are built right into Altai. Not only are we introducing a Waiting Room feature tailored for Casting Office needs, we’ve also partnered with Dolby to provide a significant upgrade to the session and recording quality. This provides a huge quality improvement over footage captured through other online video tools, giving artists the best opportunity to exhibit their craft. Last but not least we’re close to launching a new pinned user functionality to help Casting to capture and combine the audio and video needs as required, and present artists’ work in the best possible light.
What’s next? Well, we’re obsessed with customer feedback, and we’ll continue to give that our top focus. You can expect a steady stream of enhancements in the weeks and months to come, in pursuit of the best user experience possible. Development of a smartphone app is also swinging onto the horizon.
